Meet Your Attorney

Dr. Catalan is a PhD chemist, inventor, and entrepreneur who has lived in the Cincinnati metropolitan area for over 25 years. Originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, he is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Prior to attending law school he earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Jackson State University, and earned both his Masters and Doctorate of Philosophy in bioinorganic chemistry from Michigan State university.

Dr. Catalan worked as a scientist and product developer at P&G for over 15 years where he developed formulations and raw materials for popular consumer product brands like Tide, Pampers, and Pantene. He is an inventor on numerous international patents as well as the U.S.

During his tenure at P&G he also worked with his wife, a local Cincinnati veterinarian to grow two veterinary practices which is why Dr. Catalan dedicates some of his practice to animal law and veterinarians. 

He knows the professional and personal challenges that business owners face during all stages of business growth. 

As a solo practitioner Dr. Catalan  dedicates most of his legal practice in the areas of business law, intellectual property, trade secrets, and civil litigation.
